A being of sheer chaos, you are capable of possessing the bodies of mortals and
using their weapons to aid in your war against your enemies while draining them of their souls in an attempt to unleash your long forgotten ancient power. Quench your thirst for delicious souls
while evading the military and unleashing terror upon the world.

Soulrend is the first full length PC game that I have had a hand it designing. It is a action-arcade game in which the roles have been reversed and you play as a "demonic" creature who has been held in captivity, by the government, but has just escaped.

Soulrend is a literal fresh perspective on the shoot 'em up genre of Action Arcade games that includes thousands of titles spread across decades of gaming. Including features such as both Third-Person melee combat and First-Person shooter combat, while still holding close what it means to be an "arcade" game. The HighScore board will help to supply that addictive gameplay style that makes you want to try "just one more time" every time you find yourself having come up just short of reaching the top of the charts.

Are you ready to experience what it means to truly be a monster? See through its
eyes, hear its thoughts, feel its desire to survive, and fight for both your life
and its.

Soulrend has a very early Alpha available for download here. Note, controls for the game are not explained and currently you will have to try keys to find them. (Controls include moving, jumping, a claw attack, and a possession ability. Then you are possessing a soldier your claw attack becomes "fire")

Soulrend is a calaborative project of the following Developers: Dale Frewaldt, Tyler Klarenbeek, Tracy Booze, Matt Nelles, and Chris Pueppke.
